Before & After

Make Me Matte! Foundation Adjuster is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So.So. Good I haven't tried it as a mixing powder but just as a setting powder it's amazing. It's so finely milled and make the skin look like velvet. I really hope this comes to Walmart Canada so I can easily repurchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Wonderful! I brought this and added it to my foundation and it matted it beautifully. I have very oily and sensitive skin. I use MAC Match Master foundation which already has great coverage, ELF Make Me Matte just gave it more coverage and no sheen. Like velvet! It really cut back the oil on my face by late afternoon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for combination skin I mix this with It Cosmetics CC cream and the results are great. I have combination skin so usually by mid day my skin becomes very oily, with the matte powder it prevents the grease lines and shine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving it! So I am not familiar with Velvetizer but I had been keeping my eye on this product since it came out. The initial reviews were disappointing but I kept watching. After reading the recent reviews about the proper usage and comparison to the UD product, I decided to go for it. It took me a little practice to mix the powder into my BB cream (have since ordered the cute little mixing palette - on the way!) but once I got the hang of it - WOW!! I have crazy oily skin (my face could be a renewable energy source for a small town..) and yes, I still have to blot a couple of time during the day but OH MY GOSH - my BB cream coverage just looks so much more even and smooth and matte, and does not fade through the day. And, when I do blot I notice the shine does not start back for a good 3 times longer than without this. I can't tell you how liberating that is!! But it still feels very natural and comfortable, not chalky or drying (I wear BB cream as I just can't stand the feel of heavy foundation on my face). This is a total game changer for me! My face just looks so good! Can't wait until my mixing palette and the new foundation brush I ordered arrived so I can play around with it some more. Will definitely re-buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Urban decay vekverizer dupe!! I don't think people are realizing that this is not a.settong powder. It's a.mux in medium. Even if it doesn't say it on the product itself, it clearly states it when u are purchasing it online and the directions say to mix I. With foundation. Anyways it's great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from UNDERSTANDING HOW TO USE IT!!!!! I haven’t bought this I got a sample from a friend and this stud was better than the urban decay velvetizer most people don’t realize this is a mixing medium mattifying powder maybe (E.L.F. Team) your customers would know how to use it if you labeled it correctly lol no offense not everyone reads directions some people who that wear makeup all the time think they don’t need to read the directions because they feel they know how to use the product. Might I suggest changing the packaging label that way people know what they are buying but on the other hand go E.L.F. For an amazing product I believe other MUA’s such as myself would agree.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dupe for UD Velvetizer! I don’t think some of these reviewers are using this the way they’re supposed to. Haha. I mixed this into a couple foundations (per the instructions) that always make me look like a disco ball by the middle of the day. I tried it with Too Faced Born This Way, IT CC Cream and UD Naked Skin. It mattified every one of them and kept my skin beautiful all day! The foundations didn’t transfer and my skin was so soft....ALL DAY. This stuff is a definite game changer and seriously an almost exact dupe for the Urban Decay Velvetizer....for $8!!!!! I think I’m going to stock up on back ups before people realize it. LOL.

Would this "Un-ash" my foundation ?

Asked by: RadientC
This product is not formulated to correct your foundation from looking ashy, although it will mattify your look and reduce shine. We think you may be using a foundation with an incorrect undertone which is causing the ashiness.

My mascara by the end of the day ends up on my eyelids, I assume because my skin is oily and as I get older my lids have dropped. Would this product stop my mascara from doing this ?

Asked by: Natnat0756
You certainly may dust this product on your eyelids and this can help with keeping your eyelids matte, however we would suggest using a waterproof mascara to prevent the smudging/transferring that you are describing.

I use a combo of moisturizer and BB cream for a light coverage vs. foundation. My skin, however is very, very oily and I am looking for something to mattify it. Would this be appropriate to mix into my combo?

Asked by: Cbieller
Yes, you may mix this product with the current routine you are using.

1. Do I need to set the foundation with a powder/translucent powder after like I would a normal foundation or no? 2. Does this change the consistency or look of the foundation itself?

Asked by: jennyfromtheblock
You do not need to use an additional product to set your foundation. It changes the foundation to a velvety, matte finish and increases how long it will last.

If mixed into foundation, will it make it lighter?

Asked by: mbreezy
This product mattifies and sets your foundation for a more finished look; it does not lighten the shade.
